The Pueblo two-handed coriander variety was developed in 2013 in Canada by the famous American chemical concern UNION CARBIDE and the Canadian SERTIS Holding. It is characterized by good frost and drought resistance, uniform ripening, cleaned straight, does not crumble. The plant is wide, up to 140 cm high. The stem is branching in the form of a bush. The central stem and each branch of the coriander ends in an inflorescence with a complex umbrella, which consists of 40 - 50 simple umbrellas to which the coriander seeds are attached. The fruit is a two-seed spherical. Coriander is widely known as an essential oil, spice, medicinal and melliferous plant. The fruits contain 6% - 8% essential oil and 20% - 25% fatty oil.
The components of coriander essential oil are: linalool (60 - 80%), terpenes, alkaloids, proteins. Essential oil is the initial product from which substances for perfumery are obtained. The fatty oil is used in industry to make high quality paints for painting sea ships.
